Compressors

An on-board air suspension compressor lets you adjust your air bags wherever you are, without stopping at a gas station air line. BOSS makes four compressor families, sized for different jobs:

• PX01 (12V): compact and light at 4.2 lb. Delivers 1.31 CFM with a 15% duty cycle at 100 PSI, and up to 150 PSI. Suits topping up a load assist kit.
• PX02 (12V): 1/4 hp, 1.5 CFM, 50% duty cycle, 0–150 PSI working pressure and 200 PSI maximum. A step up for more frequent adjustment.
• PX06 (12V): 100% duty cycle with built-in thermal overload protection, so it can run continuously. It's quieter than standard compressors, and suits on-board air systems you adjust often. It's also the compressor in our auto pressure controller kits.
• PX07 (12V or 24V): 3/4 hp, about 3.5 CFM (170 L/min), 100% duty cycle, 0–150 PSI working pressure and 200 PSI maximum. Built for full air ride systems, larger air tanks and continuous use.

PX02 and PX07 come as a bare compressor or as a complete kit. The PX07 complete kit adds a 110–150 PSI pressure switch and a 100% duty solenoid. PX07 compressors are rebuildable, and we stock the PX07 rebuild kit.

Pair a compressor with an aluminum air tank for faster fills and reserve air, and add a pressure switch or dual-needle gauge to control and monitor the system. Need the air bags too? Start with load assist kits.

Check each product for amp draw and fuse size before wiring. The PX07 draws up to 31.5 A and needs a 40 A fuse and a check valve.

Common questions

Which compressor do I need for a load assist kit?
To top up two air bags, a PX01 or PX02 is enough. For an air ride system with a tank, or for frequent adjustment, choose a 100% duty cycle PX06 or PX07.

12V or 24V?
Match your vehicle's electrical system. Most pickups and vans are 12V. The 24V PX07 suits trucks and equipment that run 24V.

Can I run air tools or air horns?
A PX07 with a tank can feed air horns and fill tires. These compressors are designed mainly for air suspension.
